Q?Does my native language affect my English?

It will be incorrect to say that the books existing in Hindi or the diverse mother tongues are of poor quality, but it is also right that the books obtainable in English on diverse subjects are in extensive variety. The variety is quite a huge one. Nowadays, the matter is about verbal English. We would say it is as essential as the capability to read and write appropriately. Q?I am just beginning to study English. Don’t I need to study grammar before I can learn to speak English?
A.

Our answer has two parts.First, you cannot speak any language without knowing its grammar because the language’s grammar defines how the words are used in sentences to mean something. A language’s grammar also defines how the verb is changed to identify person, time, and other information expressed by the verb. Of course, grammar defines many other parts of a language as well. So you must know English grammar if you want to speak English.
Secondly, however, we must then ask how you learn English grammar quickly? We use grammar-based English instructions to teach you a long list of “rules” so that you will speak correctly. That is a very difficult way to learn to tell the difference between something which “sounds right” or “sounds wrong.” It is far simpler—and far faster—to teach students learning English to use their hearing to know when something is “right” or “wrong” because hearing, not written grammar, is what they must use in normal conversation.
Our Spoken English course is designed to teach you to speak fluent English as quickly as possible. The best way we can do that is to train your mind and hearing together so that you can tell the difference between English which sounds “right” and English which sounds “wrong.”

A.

There will come a time when you will want to branch out and move out of your group. English is an international language and hence learning English will benefit you to reach out to other members of your field outside your language group.

Q?I have studied in an English medium school. Do I need to learn Spoken English?
A.

Many students make the mistake of saying that there is no need for a spoken English course because it is very simple and they have learned how to read & write similar sentences. We will let you answer your own question. Could you read any sentence just once — and then, without reading it again—repeat that sentence to a Native English speaker in normal conversation? Your pronunciation and grammar would need to be perfect. If the Native speaker has any difficulty understanding what you said, you still need to study spoken English. Moreover academic studies in schools are more oriented to learning grammar, reading and writing and very little emphasis is given to spoken English.

Q?I read English well and can understand 90% of what is said. Do I need to learn Spoken English?

Q?I have scored good marks in English during my academic studies, but why did I score less bands in IELTS.
A.

Academic language studies are designed to teach you grammar, English reading and English writing. But an IELTS test has four modules: reading, writing, speaking and listening. The average score in all the four modules is the band score you obtain. So even if you have scored well in reading and writing, a low score in speaking and listening can bring your overall score to a lesser band score. Listening is an integral part of speaking and so you need to tune up your listening and speaking skills.
